This new technology keeps the ultraviolet light intensity of each tanning lamp constant over the entire lifetime of the lamp. The electronics allow four standard tanning levels that can be achieved. These are: SOFT, STANDARD, TURBO and EXTREME.
Here is a list of the major advantages: 1 New lamps usually have a higher UV light intensity that impose a risk of burning, the UVSC technology regulates the intensity of each lamp, used or new, to the four levels mentioned above. 2 100% utilization of old lamps, the UVSC technology can increase the intensity at the end of each lamp life span to extend the overall lifetime. Lifetime increases of up to two times that of unregulated lamps are common. This will lower the operating costs significantly. mentioned above. 3 This technology will result in up to 20% energy savings
for the salon owner. 5 Utilizing this technology in only some of the tanning
beds allow the hand down of used lamps from the remaining beds to the
ones with the UVSC technology. 7 Customers are receiving exactly the tanning intensity they have paid for, regardless of how old the lamps are. This will result in satisfied customers and additional advertising by recommendations. 8 A red light indicates when the lamps are at the end of their life span. This will indicate when the lights should be replaced and there is no need for manual hour tracking. 9 The extension of the lifetime will also result in environmental benefits by reducing the amount of wasted phosphor and mercury that are contained in the lamps. In order to get the best utilization rate on old and used tanning bed lamps it is recommended to upgrade at least 30% to 50% of the beds to a UVSC technology. The graph shows the typical aging of a standard tanning bed lamp. Over time the lamp looses it's capability to achieve high intensity values. With the UVSC technology this curve is irrelevant because the electronic will regulate any aged lamp to the requested level.
Not only can the tube life be extended by 100% in case of constant tanning results, but also an individual adjustment of intensity is possible with the new D-EVG Technology. Studio operators are enthusiastic because of this new technology informs us Mr. Wildgruber of Planet Sun Tanning Studio in Munich. He states that there are no longer lines in front of special Tanning Units because now each solarium can be adjusted according to the customers tanning wishes. For the first time tanning customers can the intensity be adjusted to the "soft setting" even when new lamps have been installed this way the new customer will not get burned. But even when regular customers are wanting new lamp power it can still be achieved even thou the lamps have 500 hrs. this is still possible. This new technology makes it possible. But the most important point for the customer is the fact that with this new technology the tanning results are still actually guaranteed because this is what they are paying for. No Salon Owner will grant a discount for tanning on a tanning bed with older lamps that should have already been exchanged. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR.
Thanks to the new D-EVG Technology the lamp life in the case of constant
tanning results
Skintype 1: "SOFT" Skintype 2: "STANDARD" Skintype 3: "TURBO" Skintype 4: "EXTREME" Even after 500 hours this technology still enables the tanning intensity
that is normally only In case of solariums with so called similar technique but are working with a chip/eprom it might Happen that after a lamp exchange people forget to press the reset button. This is very important For the electronics to “know” that the intensity has to be reduced to avoid skin burning. With our New UV sensor controlled technology there is no need to press a reset button after a lamp exchange or a special eprom to be installed for a certain lamp type to store normally the aging line of a special lamp. It is not possible to maintain an exact intensity in chip technology, even identical lamp types might differ slightly between each production lot. The new adjustment with our UV sensor is much more safer and exact.
The graph in the following diagram demonstrates the typical aging process of a lamp during 500 operating hours. In the old inductive (ballast) technology it is clearly visible how the intensity value is at a high level of 40 mW in the beginning and then drops down to about 20 mW. For the our new D-EVG technology this graph is of no importance since the electronics puts the lamps as long as necessary on a high level until the required UV value of 20, 25, 30, 35 mW is attained. Due to this additional adjustment the lamp life can easily be doubled. If later the lamps do not reach the highest intensity of 35mW this will be indicated via an LED. Nevertheless the solarium can still be used for the lower intensities 20, 25, 30 mW without exchanging the lamps. So the Studio Operator can always check the aging conditions of the lamps easily and at the same time they save money since they will not have to exchange the lamps as often due to a simple suspect like complaints from customers that the lamps are not achieving tanning results that they want. Since the requested intensity from the customer can also be indicated at the solarium itself. When switching on the solarium the customer will also recognized that it is equipped with an adjustable electronic unit. As soon as the lamps are heated up the intensity is modified for about 20 seconds in a high speed.
Of course our new D-EVG technology can be refit to each solarium. Due to the extreme reduction of lamp costs this new technology quickly pays for itself, especially as used lamps from other solarium which still work according to the old inductive (ballast) system can later be used for several hundred hours with the new D-EVG technology. Several studio operators often “feed” their solariums only with old and used lamps removed from other not modernised solarium. The new D-EVG technology extracts the remains from these lamps before they really needed to be disposed of. Due to this “trick” the D-EVG solarium does not cause any more lamp cost since these lamps still possess 50% of its new value. Several studio operators have reached about 1500-2000 operating hours with one single lamp set and the new technology of course with super tanning results from the beginning to the end. According to the electronic timer system which controls the lamp types having reached the longest service life until a signal for a necessary lamp exchange appears on the display of the timers system unit ,also the actual voltage and current that is needed by a lamp and the powering of the lamps in watts are also indicated. The power reading give information about the necessary adjustment of the electronic unit to enable the desired UV value to be reached. In case of new lamps of different types it is simple to check whether “good” or “bad” quality lamps have been installed. The reserve of old lamps from solariums with old technology can immediately be determined. You can also learn if the lamps cooling system from the solarium works optimally. Lamps which are cooled not enough or to much do not have optimum output power in this case different solariums are equipped with identical lamp types and the same UVA value is adjusted at all solariums, it is absolutely possible that the indicated current consumption per lamp differs from solarium to solarium. Test of this new technology on different solariums have shown already that the lamps cooling system does not always work perfectly. A combination of this new technology with a variable fan control in this case would bring optimum results and additionally the studio operator can save money due to the lower electrical costs. On request the UV-A sensor can be additionally equipped with a UV-B sensor. In this case as well as the UV-A value and the UV-B value and the proportion of UV-A / UV-B in percentage is indicated. So there is a high quality of UV-A / UV-B measuring device included. If several solariums in a tanning salon are equipped with this new technology the intensity of each solarium can be individually regulated via a control panel from the reception desk.
NOTE: The Federal Office for Environmental Protection approves this new technology and they allow the studio operator to put a sticker on the UVSC-sunbed, indicating to the customers that here state-of-the-art and ecofriendly technology is used.
